About

I’m Rafael DaCosta, a Journalism and Business Administration student at UW–Eau Claire, graduating in May 2025. I focus on community-driven stories that bring attention to overlooked people and systems.

My work has earned recognition from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and the Society of Professional Journalists, and I’ve presented research on media framing at university symposiums. I’m skilled in multimedia storytelling, longform writing, and narrative audio.

With experience in coaching and a background in business, I approach journalism with empathy, strategy, and a drive to make stories matter. Outside of work, I enjoy coaching swimming, working out, and following sports.
